Olay Daily Moisturizer Review

Hey beauties!

I recently made a trip to Target to pick up some facial moisturizer. My face has been really dry recently because of the weather transition from summer to fall/winter.

In Florida our summer months are very humid and muggy meaning there is more moisture in the air. I rarely use moisturizer during the summer because of the extra moisture (although I should.) However, I don't know if it's because I'm getting older or there is something different about the weather by my skin is EXTREMELY dry.

My face is just gross and you can tell I have really dry skin when I'm wearing makeup. It might be the makeup I'm using, I use Loreal Paris, but there isn't any "anti-pimple" magic in there which is the leading cause of my facial dryness most of the time so I'm stuck in a pickle.

Anyways, because of Thanksgiving here in America I got to see my cousin who is my age, 20, and she said she used the Olay Daily Moisturizer with SPF 15 and that she loves it. Hence, my trip to Target.

I'm really picky about moisturizer because I have the type of skin that ranges between oily-normal-dry depending on the product I use.

I can't have moisturizers that feel heavy and take a long time to soak in because my skin becomes oily and it feels like I have a pound of makeup on. I also can't have moisturizers that apply like a dream but only moisturize for 20 minutes because I'll have to keep reapplying.

That said, I am VERY pleased with this moisturizer. This is the first Olay product I've used because I thought Olay was only made for older women due to their plethora of anti-aging products. I was wrong obviously and I'm happy I was.

The moisturizer is AMAZING because it feel so light weight yet it moisturizes AND it contains SPF 15 which I find is the lowest for most makeup but still nice protection. I also chose the sensitive skin because I tend to be allergic to the most random beauty products so it's always better to be safe than sorry in my book.

The only thing I don't like about this moisturizer is that it doesn't come with a pump, but rather a..hole? A squeezy hole? I have no idea how you would identify this but that's why I put up a picture!

I like my moisturizer to have pumps because I'm weird, but I feel like when you don't have a pump you can get the most out of your product because you can almost empty the bottle. Whereas, with a pump, you're limited to the product that the straw-thingy can reach which sometimes isn't a lot.
Did that make any sense? Ugh.

Anyways, I do HIGHLY recommend this product if you are like me and like a light-weight moisturizer that still gets the job done. I think this was around $15.00 USD for a 4 oz bottle. They have bigger bottles but I didn't want to purchase a large bottle if the product was crappy.

Anyways, have a fabulous day!

Going the Glinda Route

"In the regular world, Halloween is when children dress up in costumes and beg for candy. In Girl World, Halloween is the one night a year when a girl can dress like a total slut and no other girls can say anything about it." - Mean Girls
Halloween costumes are a HUGE deal. I know I started thinking of mine in early September, and not only do you have to worry about the costume but where you'll be wearing it to.

Last year I was lame and went trick-or-treating with some of my friends. I was in it for the candy and not so much the costume...I threw on a freaking sheet and called myself a roman alright! Ugh. Not my finest hour.

Anyways, this year I'm going to a halloween party that my boyfriend's boss is throwing.

So basically, I can't dress like a slut.

I've decided also this year that I didn't want to spend a lot of money on my costume because as everyone knows you only wear it once because you don't want to be caught DEAD in a repeated costume.

I chose to be a witch this year. Simply dress in all black and buy a witch's hat.
($3 at Target. Whatta steal) I'm just going to play up the makeup a TON.

Anyways. I'll post photos of my finished attire but I'm thinking more of a pretty, more sophisticated witch. I'm not all into the green Wizard of Oz look, I'm going the Glinda Route.

Here are some of my ideas for makeup..I'm definitely digging the sparkle one.

Have you guys decided what your costume is going to be? Do you have any other makeup ideas? Leave a response!

Thanks for reading and have a fabulous day!
